1. remind の3つの語法パターン
- remind A of B「AにBを思い出させる」
- remind A that SV「Aに…ということを気づかせる／思い出させる」
- remind A to do「Aに…することを気づかせる／思い出させる」
例：
- This photo reminds me of my childhood in the countryside.（この写真は私に田舎で過ごした子供時代を思い出させる）
- The email reminded us that the deadline had been moved up.（そのメールは私たちに締め切りが早まったことを気づかせた）
- Please remind me to call the client this afternoon.（今日の午後、取引先に電話することを私に気づかせてください）
2. 差がつく！重要識別ポイント
① of のあとは「名詞（句）」がくる。that のあとは「完全な文（SV）」がくる。to のあとは「動詞の原形」がくる、という後続要素の違いで判別する。
② remind A of B の B に「〜すること」という内容を入れたい場合は、動名詞ではなく〈of + doing〉の形になる点にも注意（例：remind him of paying the bill）。
③ 意味の違い
- remind A of B：Bという「もの・人・出来事」を思い出させる（連想させる）
- remind A that SV：ある事実に気づかせる／念を押す
- remind A to do：これから行うべき行動を忘れないよう伝える
