1. expect の語法
- expect to do「…するつもりである」
- expect A to do「Aに…することを期待する」
- expect A from[of] B「B（人）にAを期待する」
例：The company expects a great deal from its new employees during the first year. （その会社は新入社員に対して、最初の1年間で大きな期待をしている）
2. persuade の語法
- persuade A to do「A（人）を説得して…させる」（= convince A to do）
- persuade A into doing「Aを説得して…させる」
- persuade A out of doing「Aを説得して…することをやめさせる」
- persuade A of B「AにBを確信させる」（= convince A of B）
例：It took her almost an hour to persuade her brother out of quitting his job so suddenly. （彼女は弟を説得して、突然仕事を辞めるのを思いとどまらせるのにほぼ1時間かかった）
3. require の語法
- require that S (should) do「Sが…することを要求する／必要とする」
- require doing「…することを必要とする」
- require A to do「（法律や規則などが）A（人）に…するように要求する」
- require A of B「AをB（人）に要求する」
例：The new safety regulation requires all workers to wear protective goggles on site. （新しい安全規則は、すべての作業員に現場でゴーグルを着用するよう義務付けている）
